SIGHT

Greg Kinnear and Terry Chen star in “Sight,” a biopic about pioneering medical entrepreneur Dr. Ming Wang. Shot in in Vancouver, the film features a predominantly Chinese cast. It will be shot in English and Mandarin. Andrew Hyatt (“Paul, Apostle of Christ,” starring Jim Caviezel and James Faulkner) is writing and directing. Darren Moorman of Reserve Entertainment and David Fischer of Open River are producing.

In 1949, Abe Saperstein, who owned and coached the Harlem Globetrotters, organized an exhibition game in New York City against the NBA champions, the Minneapolis Lakers. The game was witnessed by Ned Irish, owner of the New York Knicks, and his coach, Joe Lapchick. The Lakers were outplayed by the talented and inventive Black Globetrotters, with Sweetwater Clifton impressing the crowd with his graceful athleticism. Lapchick and Irish took the lead in advocating for the integration of the team, with the support of NBA President Maurice Podoloff. They worked with other team owners in the league to create a groundbreaking moment in history.

A powerful and uplifting drama about the power of faith, this movie tells the story of a 10-year-old shepherdess and her two young cousins in Fátima, Portugal who report seeing visions of the Virgin Mary. Their revelations inspire believers but anger officials of both the Church and secular government, who try to force them to recant their story. As word of their prophecy spreads, tens of thousands of religious pilgrims flock to the site hoping to witness a miracle. What they experience will change their lives forever.
